Osteopathic Strategies for Postural Alignment & Structural Correction
About Course
Osteopathic Strategies for Postural Alignment & Structural Correction
🗓 2-Day Workshop – March 22–23, 2025
Course Overview
Poor posture is one of the most common issues seen in manual therapy clinics — contributing to chronic pain, reduced mobility, and structural imbalance. This 2-day hands-on workshop offers a comprehensive osteopathic approach to assessing and correcting postural dysfunctions using a combination of techniques that address the root cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms.
You’ll learn how to evaluate posture from head to toe, identify dysfunctional patterns, and apply targeted manual strategies to realign the body. A highlight of this course is the integration of Facilitated Kinetic Modulation (FKM) — a modern, movement-based technique developed to reset neuromuscular patterns — alongside muscle energy, positional release, and joint balancing methods to help your clients experience lasting relief and improved function.
What You’ll Learn:
Full-body postural assessment techniques using observation, palpation, and motion testing
Common dysfunction patterns and compensations in standing, seated, and walking posture
Treatment strategies for forward head posture, rounded shoulders, pelvic tilts, leg length discrepancy, and spinal curvatures
Application of Facilitated Kinetic Modulation (FKM) to improve neuromuscular control and realignment
Integrating multiple osteopathic techniques:
Muscle Energy Techniques (MET)
Joint Balancing & Mobilization
Positional Release Techniques
Myofascial and ligamentous work for posture correction
Creating individualized treatment plans based on structural analysis
Who Should Attend:
This course is ideal for osteopaths, RMTs, physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other manual practitioners who regularly treat clients with postural issues and want a deeper, more effective approach to structural correction.
