About Course

This 2-day intensive workshop is designed for osteopathy practitioners, RMTs, students, and manual therapists who want to confidently work with athletes at every stage of performance — from pre-game preparation and post-game recovery to rehabilitation after injury.

Led by Marcelo Casal, an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist,Rehabilitation Specialist with Toronto FC since 2008, this workshop brings together nearly two decades of elite-level sports rehab expertise. Marcelo has developed and delivered treatment protocols for professional athletes across strength, mobility, proprioception, and return-to-play strategies. His experience includes designing individualized rehabilitation programs, managing acute and chronic injuries, and contributing to Toronto FC’s historic 2017 domestic treble (MLS Cup, Supporters’ Shield, Canadian Championship).

Marcelo will lead the treatment and rehabilitation portion of the course, while Amir Kazemi, will support with the osteopathic technique side, ensuring participants gain both a high-performance rehab framework and hands-on osteopathic skills they can immediately apply in practice.

Participants will learn how to structure treatment protocols that optimize athletic performance, accelerate recovery, and reduce the risk of re-injury. The course emphasizes practical application, with a strong hands-on practical portion that includes labs, assessments, and guided technique practice.
